Authentic Flavors of the Coast
The agro-pastoral economy has given way to tourism, but the unique gastronomic tradition remains. In the barrocal area there are traces of tree cultivation with almond trees, fig trees, stone pines, eucalyptus and cork oaks, the fruits of which complement the delicious desserts, regional sweets, liqueurs and teas.
The submerged rocks are covered in barnacles, which only the cunning of the local shellfish gatherers can collect. Fresh fish and shellfish are the hallmarks of the rich local gastronomy.
